This now fixes both errors in https://github.com/w3ctag/explainer-explainer/actions/runs/16017804727/job/45187724454 without the extra change to check pubrules on PRs. Pubrules insists that we remove @torgo from the editors since he's not on the TAG anymore, but I'm open to other ideas, especially if @ylafon knows a way around that.

@jyasskin jyasskin changed the title Fix a pubrules error, and have spec-prod check for that in PRs. Fix two pubrules errors: metadata and an editor outside the TAG Jul 2, 2025

There are no ways around that, unless we create a Task Force, then you have to update the status to make it a joined deliverable. Better to move Dan to "Former Editors", which doesn't preclude participating.
